Deserving forestry professionals are rewarded with Euro 143,000

The Einari Vidgrén Foundation gave out a total of EUR 143,000 in awards. The Einari Awards, the main form of recognition, were awarded to Janne Mutikainen of Koneurakointi Mutikainen Oy, and Janne and Tuomas Paakkola of Iin Metsätyö Oy for exemplary business operations and for bringing about a successful generation change. The founder of Ponsse Plc, Einari Vidgrén established the Einari Vidgrén Foundation in 2005 with the aim of increasing the appreciation for work in the field of mechanised wood harvesting. Source

Bandit Industries to go 100 percent employee owned

Bandit Industries owners Mike Morey Sr., Dianne Morey and Jerry Morey announced on June 7 they would sell 100 percent of the company to their employees in an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP).  Under the ESOP, Bandit will retain its current leadership and key management personnel will remain in place. The announcement comes after two previous attempts to sell Bandit Industries – once to another manufacturer and once to a private investment firm. Source

The Rottne F20D now has 27 tonnes of tractive force

The Rottne F20D is a robust forwarder with a 20 tonne carrying capacity The automatic transmission is now updated with a tractive force of a full 27 tonnes (270 kN), compared to the previous figure of 26 tons. This means that Rottne F20D can manoeuvre better than before in all types of terrain and can maintain a high driving speed even with maximum load. Source
